Dear Mendel Graduates,
“Go you men of Mendel, We’ve got to reach our goal….”. The opening ‘salvo’ of our official fight song calls us to come together and bid farewell to our legendary Mendel Gymnasium and Mendel Monastery. Yes, we have been informed that the Mendel Gymnasium and Mendel Monastery will be razed in the summer of 2009, and we are calling all alumni of Mendel Catholic, former Mendel students, and life-long friends of Mendel to join us for a memorable “farewell celebration and alumni basketball game to take place on the old Mendel Campus.

On the original 40 acre Mendel Campus, known as the ‘high school with the college campus’
Time: 12noon to 4PM-Doors Open at 11:30am-We will start promptly at 12noon
Cost: Admission is free to all Mendel graduates, former students of Mendel and friends of Mendel
We will celebrate 37 ‘GLORIOUS’ years of Mendel Catholic history, the legendary championship wrestling teams that wrestled on the gym floor, and the legendary championship basketball teams that played on the gym floor.
We will have guest speakers from all the years of Mendel Catholic High School, starting with the ‘premier’ class of 1955 all the way through to the last class of 1988. We will have a few surprise guests as well, and close out the celebration with a alumni basketball game between Mendel Basketball Alumni from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80s.
